L'EVÊCHÉ, the 16th century "bishop's palace" in Vaison's perched village is the warm welcoming home of Aude and Jean-Loup Verdier. When they opened guest rooms several years ago L'Evêché rapidly became a favored spot for our students as well as other Vaison visitors. Note please: Payment is by cash only in euros. LE MAS D'HÉLÈNE – Friends and students have recommended this B and B wholeheartedly (formerly known as the Mas de Magali). Situated in Le Crestet, a tiny perched village very near Vaison.
DOMAINE DE CABASSE – Many years ago, when we were spending weekends in Vaison during our negotiations to buy Chanteduc, the Domaine de Cabasse was where we stayed. There were different owners then, but the location and atmosphere are every bit as appealing now as then. The rooms were basic, and apparently still are. But it's a warm and welcoming spot - and there's a pool. Situated in Séguret, about 10km (15 mins) from Vaison.
