In 1993 and 1994 Patricia Wells traveled from Tokyo
to Brussels, London to San Francisco, Paris to Hong
Kong to make her own personal selection of the World's
Top Tables for the International Herald Tribune. A lot
has changed since then -- certainly prices are different,
and some restaurants have closed or changed chefs or
owners. But many readers have asked that we present
the list anyway, so here it is. But be forewarned: We
are including it as reference only, certainly not as
up-to-date research.
